Project 2_Haley Sherrell

My video is titled "Creatures." For this project I really wanted to experiment with a scary/creepy mood because that is something I don't work with often. The idea behind this video is a man who woke up in the middle of this trail. He is a little disoriented and decides to start walking because that is better than just being a sitting duck. As he is walking he starts hearing this very strange noises. They aren't recognizable animal noises which I think makes it even creepier. He is frantically looking around trying to spot one of these strange creatures but fails to do so. Near the end he hears a very loud growl and decides to just run in the opposite direction, however this creature catches up to him and everything goes dark. I recorded noises like the walking in the gravel, the rustling of leaves, the guitar sounds, but I found the creature noises and the breathing sounds. I messed around with the volume of each audio clip to have it fade in and out, but sometimes I wanted the noise to be abrupt. I wanted the overall vibe of this video to be disorienting, creepy, and unknown. Since I wanted the emphasis to be on the sounds, I kept the video relatively simply by making it an eye-level point of view of the man walking.
