Project 1 Progression

1. Practice Videos & Story Board

I took videos as examples of different camera angles. I practiced taking different video shots with different perspectives.

I also wrote a story board for project 1. It describes what the general storyline will be in the video and also what camera angles will be used. The storyboard maybe slightly different from the final outcome but it details the general idea of what the video will look like.

2. Premier Pro Introduction

I took the videos I shot for practice and I imported them into Premier Pro. After instruction on how to use some of the tools, I practiced using those tools on the videos. I separated audio from video, I cut videos, and I imported other video and used its audio for my own video.

3. Gathering Audio, Getting More Footage, Editing

My video is going to be of a wooden doll navigating a human world. So this means he can not make any sounds of his own. So I decided to use found audio to pair with my footage. The audio I found is cartoonish and will match well with the subject matter. 

I did not have enough video to work with so I shot more footage for my project. The videos I took centered around the beginning of the video where the wooden doll is waking up and starting his day of adventure. I took these videos on my phone and sent them to my computer to be stored on my hard drive.

I took my footage and started editing. I cut videos that were too long and put transitions in between videos to make the video less choppy. Project 1 is due Friday September 23rd. This means that I have to finish editing and putting together my project 1 video by the end of the week.
