 Project 1 Progress 

Progress update 1: 9/5/22

As my first step toward this project, I practiced taking videos at various camera angles. This will help me enhance my camera shot technique when recording my video for the final project.

Progress update 2: 9/7/22

During this week I created a storyboard to display my ideas for my final project. This helped me to capture the story I want to convey in my final project so that I am prepared to begin filming. I am still unsure of what I will film so my ideas on his storyboard are subject to change. 

Progress update 3: 9/9/22

Today I practiced editing short clips I had taken during my first progress update within Premiere. I looked through and listened to free audio clips on different websites such as Adobe, Epidemic, etc. This helped me better familiarize myself with the program which will make my final project easier to edit.

Setting: Campus 

Subject: College student 

Objective: To show the viewer what life is like on a college campus and how I navigate as a freshman. 

Concept: (the message) A representation of the everyday life of a college student. To show the viewer what living on campus looks like. A typical day-to-day routine as a freshman in college. I will show the scenery around campus, other students, parts of my classes, and my dorm. 

 

Progress Update: 9/16/22

Today I imported footage that I will be using for my finalized project. I messed around with some editing and adding different transitions. I ran into a few issues while adding transitions with video layering but quickly learned how to resolve the issue by using sliding transitions in between clips. 

Progress Update: 9/19/22

Today I looked at different websites for free audios to use in my video. I spent the class listening to which one would best suit my video compilation. I ran into technical difficulties with the location of my videos and had to restart my project. 

Progress Update: 9/21/22

Today I imported the rest of my video footage. I then continued to edit the transitions I used the default transition and then added some sliding transitions as well. I added graphics/text at the beginning and end of my video. I then imported free audio from adobe to add the finishing touch. 

Progress Update: 9/22/22

Today I added some finishing touches to my project. I rendered the video and audio in and out to prepare for a proper export. I then exported my video as an mp4 file and uploaded it to canvas. Unfortunately, I have been having issues with the videos playing and did not upload them to youtube due to needing to resolve the issue.
